1. Jem has a very emotional reaction to the trial and cries that night out of anger and out of shame about the injustice of the verdict. He says to Miss Maudie that he thought that the people in Macomb were the best in the world, but he thinks otherwise after the trial and I forgot what scouts reaction is besides that she thinks that the jury did not look at Tom Robinson.
ReplyDelete2. After Tom Robinson loses the case, the next day, Macomb’s black population delivers a ton of food to the Finches house and there is a lot of people there respecting and mourning. However near the end of the Chapter Miss Stephanie runs over t tell them that Bob Ewell accosted their father, spat on him and then swore revenge.
3. I think that it was fair and unfair in many reasons one of the unfair was the all white court system convicted only him for murder (which was more a fight) and all without a single witness. It was also not an easily solvable problem because therte3 was no real proof of what happened. I find this relates to the little rock nine in how it both has to do with blacks under pressure and finally taking the bait and paying the penalty for what they did.

ReplyDelete2.althougth the tom robinson is dead and evil had spread across the town some good has com out of this. Most of Maycomb's black population delivers an abundance of food at the finches house. although there is much mourning, Miss Maudie points out that there were people who tried to help, like Judge Taylor, who chose Atticus instead of a regular public defender. miss Maudie also said, that because the jury took so long to decide ment that racial relations were building.
3. i think what happen to the Jena 6 was unfair. even though criminal past, Mychal Bell was not a murderer. he may have stood up for what he called racist and mean but only did what he did because of what Justin Barker said. i also think that it was a solvable problem.
if they had made the jury both white and black and ad called witnesses the charges would possibly be more relivent to what really happened.
